Summary of Role 

The Lipsy Team Leader is responsible for the day to day running, project planning and delivery and the continued success of the Lipsy.co.uk website, along with the management and pastoral care of the Lipsy eCommerce developers. 
 
The Lipsy website is a dynamic and cutting edge platform for the presentation and sale of Lipsy’s product range, and thus is crucial to the ongoing success and growth of the company.
 
The successful candidate will have good leadership skills and a proven track record of delivery in a dynamic and reactive development environment.
 
The role demands excellent understanding of the .Net framework, n-tier development and the wide variety of technical aspects involved in website development.
 
As an employee of Next plc you will be based in Enderby, with occasional site visits to Lipsy in London, along with close email and telephone liaison with the Lipsy eCommerce Business team.

Work with development teams / business teams to deliver solutions that meet functional / business requirements.
Work directly with the application development team in the specification, design and development of web applications.
Work in conjunction with other development teams on cross functional projects.
Provide system support in response to business needs within published service levels - respond to and resolve break fixes and execute preventative maintenance solutions.
Provide first line team support and supervision including regular one-to-one review and team meetings.

To ensure the security and safety of staff, and visitors at our Head Office site in Enderby in Leicester.
 
Responsibilities
 
To carry out security checks and patrols to prevent both internal and external theft and deal with suspected incidents of dishonesty or breach of company procedures or rules.
To ensure head office security at all times and monitor vehicle and pedestrian movement whilst on site.
To observe potential security risks and takes positive steps to eliminate them.
To provide support and advice to senior management regarding any security incident and the situation and use of security equipment.
To monitor fire and intruder and other security systems and respond to activation’s in a prompt and professional manner to reduce potential losses to the company, comply with health and safety standards, and will liaise with management to reduce any security or health and safety concerns.
To carry out additional duties when and where necessary within the defined levels of responsibility and accountability for their role, e.g. training other staff or security officers, assisting in disciplinary matters and ensuring compliance with company procedure etc.
