Summary Of Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Call Guide Screen Designer in our Training & Development Department.

You will be required to design customer and user-friendly call guide screens, gathering information from a range of sources including current mainframe systems, databases and flowcharts. You will work alongside Senior Managers and Trainers, reviewing current departmental processes with a view to improving efficiency. You will provide ideas and suggestions of how to improve current processes, taking into consideration the input from the relevant department/s. You will gain feedback on screens produced and amend accordingly in line with project objectives. You will ensure new processes integrate seamlessly with processes in other areas of the business. You will be required to meet specific project objectives within the deadlines provided.

Summary of Role

The successful candidate will perform a mixture of support and development activities predominately based at Next's warehousing complex in South Elmsall, Pontefract but occasionally requiring work in and around other UK based sites, including Warehouses at Wath-on-Dearne and Next's Head Office based in Leicester.

Please note that the interview process will consist of a technical test and an interview on the following dates:
Technical test - 14th and 15th July
Interviews - 20th and 21st July
 
Responsibilities

The role includes but is not limited to proactive monitoring, 2nd line fault diagnosis and resolution, disaster recovery, problem resolution, upgrades to existing Windows based servers and systems, implementing and checking backups, anti-virus deployment and monitoring, auditing of environment and computer rooms and maintaining environmental records.
 
Development activities include delivery of server platforms and solutions to underpin Warehouse operational, automation and reporting services. You will use physical and virtualised server platforms, deploy office solutions including Citrix Presentation Server, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Office and file services.
 
In addition the successful candidate will take part in a weekly callout rota. Overtime and some shift changes are expected as many systems can only be installed or changed outside of normal business hours. The Technical Services Team operates a shift pattern covering the hours 07:00am – 6:00pm. Some extended cover can be expected to cover operational peaks.

Summary of role
 
To lead the Menswear Visual Merchandise department in producing creative and commercial layouts to maximise sales and profit. Produce inspirational concepts, finishes and fixtures to improve the Menswear retail environment. 
 
Responsibilities
 
Lead the creative and technical design of new look and feel initiatives, through to high standards of implementation in store.
Visually merchandise the Menswear layouts for each phase change.
Develop graphics and equipment for all Menswear products.
Liaise with the Shopfitting department and the Buying team and pre-plan Menswear layouts for all new store openings.
Develop mock-ups and presentation materials for trial of concepts.
Negotiate with external suppliers on all fixtures and display products.
Ensure there is a store communication plan for all aspects of phase change roll out.
Incorporate store, product and design feedback into design revisions for current and future programmes.
