Job Purpose

To be responsible for the supplier selection, appraisal and management of spend covering: 
Gift cards – UK, Eire, Internet, International and shopping malls.
Travel - travel buying, Travel Desk service provision.
In addition the jobholder will work on spend management projects.

Responsibilities

Supplier Sourcing
Identify and recommend to Purchasing Manager (PM)  potential future suppliers.
Create ‘network’ to ensure ‘best suppliers’ are sourced and selected.
Tender Preparation
Prepare for discussion with PM an assessment of current supplier/product/service performance, price, and outstanding issues.
Prepare for review by PM Tender documents to include all headings as per issued Standard Tender Practice Guide e.g. volumes, Disaster Recovery, specification, account management, contract heads of terms.
Utilise eSourcing and eAuction tools as proportionate.
Supplier Appraisal – Scorecards
Prepare for each selected supplier a financial and commercial appraisal. Undertake the supplier appraisal with the support of the PM. Present findings to PM based upon issued standard guidelines. Including supplier factory visits.
Obtain initial ‘ball park prices’ as part of the commercial appraisal.
Prepare a Tender scorecard and apply to each chosen supplier. Summarise results and present to PM.
Contracts/Service Level Agreements (SLAs)/KPIs
Prepare formal contract and SLA based upon the tender document in accordance to identified best practice by PM.
Liaise with legal department & PM prior to presentation to ensure legality & ‘correctness’.
Present Contract/SLA/ to PM for finalisation.

Summary of Role

To ensure complete, accurate and timely declarations to customs authorities. Analyse data inputs and outputs to identify potential errors and weaknesses. Prepare and submit any necessary adjustments to HMRC and develop and implement procedural improvements. Provide additional training to other team members and help educate and inform the wider business on customs matters. Support the Customs Compliance Manager respond to project requests from Finance Management.
 
Responsibilities
Declarations
Monitor and review Import and Export, Intrastat Arrivals and Despatches and EC Sales List declarations made by Next Customs and third-parties to ensure their completeness, accuracy and timeliness.
Analysis & Report
Enhance and develop regular control checks to analyse data input from various sources within the business and its supply chain to identify potential data integrity issues and risks. Report findings and proposed solutions to Customs Compliance Manager.
Correction & Improvement
Prepare schedules and documentation in support of any disclosures and reclaims to be submitted to the customs authorities. Devise and implement improvements to systems and procedures to better ensure future compliance.
Communication & Relationships
Communicate with people from different areas of the Business at all levels as required to increase knowledge and the sharing of information (e.g. Product, Stock Finance, Import/Export, Overseas, Warehouse, Systems). Liaise with key personnel at freight service providers to ensure expected levels of compliance are achieved. Help maintain a good relationship with HMRC by keeping them informed of any issues arising and major changes to systems and procedures.

Summary of role
 
To support the Visual Merchandise Manager - Childrenswear, liaising with product and sales departments. Providing creative ideas and producing commercial and inspirational layouts in order to maximise sales and profits for the company.
 
Responsibilities
 
Prepare plan and implement for phase change layouts in line with the critical path in order to achieve the required deadlines.
Research, identify, propose and introduce new and creative ideas for layouts/equipment/graphics for the department.
Ensure samples and stock are available for phase layouts/sign off.
Produce and communicate photography packs and memos for stores/field teams as and when required.
Point of contact for day to day queries for stores/product/field team.
Action competitive shops, present findings formally/informally as and when required.
Co-ordinate and assist with the day to day running of the mock shop, giving daily direction and follow up to ensure standards of stock management and housekeeping are achieved.
To attend store openings to provide support with delivering the correct layout to standard, equipment and marketing material.
