Summary of role

Utilising knowledge of the Japanese market to select a clothing range, from the UK. Communicating effectively with our Japanese Franchise partner to ensure they get the right stock in place at the right time ensuring the department and franchise partner's sales and stock targets are achieved

Responsibilities

TASK COORDINATION:

Liaise with Japanese & UK teams to fulfill requirements of the critical path through effective coordination of financial & product related tasks

PLANNING THE RANGE:

Interpret sales and stock information to formulate proposals for future range planning in conjunction with their Merchandiser & Japanese Franchise Partner

Provides the relevant data regarding partner performance to their Merchandiser.

DEVELOPING THE RANGE:

Develops and maintains awareness of current market trends, cultural differences, franchise stores and competitors through regular communication and visits

SELECTING THE RANGE:

Select an appropriate range to meet agreed budgets whilst taking in to account the market needs and cultural differences of the franchise

Rank the range, reviewing comp curves & banding to ensure allchanges are in accordance with agreed range parameters (options/budget/sell £/key attributes)

PROGRESSING THE RANGE:

Progress range to ensure any potential problems are dealt with promptly and effectively so that all key dates are met, keeping the Japanese Partner informed about any action taken

Effectively contribute to relevant meetings by coordinating relevant information and documenting new proposals; briefing others on specific issues; providing accurate data and explaining it where necessary. Present po
