Summary of Role
 
To implement the company’s window and display principles to the highest standard in order to attract customers and generate retail sales.
 
Please note that this role covers the London region and is a 12 month contract working 2 full days per week.
 
Responsibilities
 
Dressing
Achieve required standards in dressing/styling, accessorising, pricing, and grouping of accessories, reflecting the detailing and styling of the Window Presentation Pack, for our display windows.
Press and prepare stock, ensuring the required standard is achieved for each garment.
Monitor and co-ordinate with the Regional Display Manager, Deputy and Seniors that all stores receive new window displays within the set timescales.
Stock selection
Follow Window Presentation Pack photography for display mannequin stock selection, and be able to pick alternative stock which will reflect current fashion trends, to achieve the look and story of each product.
Liaise with the Store Manager to agree stock selection appropriate to Window Presentation Pack and to the needs of the individual store.
Preparation/Productivity
Efficiently plan schedule and workload on a daily basis.
Achieve high productivity levels to meet deadlines set by the Regional Display Manager, Deputy and Seniors.
Arrange window layouts according to the Window Presentation Pack.
Adjust the layout / scheme to suit the needs of each individual window.
Follow all guidelines set out in Health & Safety risk assessments. 
Display Storerooms/Working Areas
Maintain and monitor display areas.
Dispose of old graphics and equipment as advised.

Summary of Role

To ensure complete, accurate and timely declarations to customs authorities. Analyse data inputs and outputs to identify potential errors and weaknesses. Prepare and submit any necessary adjustments to HMRC and develop and implement procedural improvements. Provide additional training to other team members and help educate and inform the wider business on customs matters. Support the Customs Compliance Manager respond to project requests from Finance Management.
 
Responsibilities
Declarations
Monitor and review Import and Export, Intrastat Arrivals and Despatches and EC Sales List declarations made by Next Customs and third-parties to ensure their completeness, accuracy and timeliness.
Analysis & Report
Enhance and develop regular control checks to analyse data input from various sources within the business and its supply chain to identify potential data integrity issues and risks. Report findings and proposed solutions to Customs Compliance Manager.
Correction & Improvement
Prepare schedules and documentation in support of any disclosures and reclaims to be submitted to the customs authorities. Devise and implement improvements to systems and procedures to better ensure future compliance.
Communication & Relationships
Communicate with people from different areas of the Business at all levels as required to increase knowledge and the sharing of information (e.g. Product, Stock Finance, Import/Export, Overseas, Warehouse, Systems). Liaise with key personnel at freight service providers to ensure expected levels of compliance are achieved. Help maintain a good relationship with HMRC by keeping them informed of any issues arising and major changes to systems and procedures.

To ensure that Next, as a responsible retailer, is compliant with a growing number of UK and European legal obligations.
To advise the Company at all levels on a range of issues in relation to both new and changes to existing legislation that relate to Next products, specifically in relation to the creation, use and end of life requirements of the product and their impact on the environment.
To work to develop a common approach and business policies relating to Next products to ensure compliance in the best interests of our customers and Next.
To identify and investigate potential environmental impacts within the business and work to develop a recognised approach and business policy to manage the impact.
 
Responsibilities

Producer Responsibility Submissions
Review, manage and prepare necessary data for Producer Responsibility Submissions e.g. Packaging Waste, Batteries, Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) for the UK and Europe.
Audit the data prepared for Producer Responsibility Submissions for accuracy to present to Line Manager for sign-off.
Understand and interpret impacts of data submission trends against previous submissions.
Audit internal systems used and maintained by other departments to ensure data accuracy.
Legislation Compliance
Support Line Manager to identify compliance issues not yet considered, work to understand the issues and their impacts on the business and work with the relevant parts of the business to ensure compliance is achieved.
Identify, be aware and informed of new legislation, relating to Next products, and changes to current legislation before publication. Support Line Manager to inform the business of these changes and work with the relevant teams to ensure implementation
